By the way the battery is not drained when I unplug it. When I plug it back and start my laptop, it shows it is fully charged. I believe the fake batteries cannot provide the needed current by the laptop.

I have got exactly the same issue. I bought two batteries from Ebay from different sellers and they look geniune but as yours they last for 15 seconds to half an hour max. The laptop does not find any issue with the battery and it says it is 100% charged. I am not going to spend $150 for a new...
