went that route - tech stepped me through the set-up to no avail. Finally gave up and spent $75 on a new DVD - connected on the first try, everything worked. I'll use the old DVD on another TV with no AV receiver in the mix.

New Marantz 1506 AVR and 5 year old Panasonic TV and DVD BluRay, both Viera's, can't connect. Cable is coax from wall to the TV, HDMI from DVD to AVR, HDMI from AVR to TV. Marantz auto-set up (very slick) can't see either - no pic, no sound. I've tried two new HDMI cables - suggestions please!
