Hard to believe, but 2 DDR2 RAM sticks that I recently purchased were defective. I tried everything else, but not using the old RAM up until now. I thought that the possibility of the new memory being defective was too low, so I did not even try to use the old one. Thanks to all who tried to help.

Could it be that my HDD got damaged? If the answer is yes, how do I test it knowing the screen just stays black and there is no way to tell?

You are probably right. But, I still dont know what is wrong with the screen. Now, I can at least eliminate that connector.

JP34. It runs right next to the wider video cable.

One of the connectors on the motherboard is broken, but still plugged in. Just want to see if that connector has anything to do with the video even though I doubt it.

I tried that in the past and that did not fix it unfortunately.
