Hi, I recently bought a Gigbyet R3 laptop and I love it, but its painful to live with a HDD after using an SSD for so long on my desktop... It supports dual storage so I contacted Gigabyte and gave me a Qualified vendor list which only included Liteon SSDs which I cant seem to find anywhere here...

The thing that comes to mind is thermal paste. Did you reapply it or just leave it? Edit: +1 for HW Monitor. Shouldn't matter that much but just to be safe...

If you aren't too confident taking it apart the only thing you can really do is buy a cooling pad which will blow extra air into the system. If you are confident taking it apart you could clear any dust from the heatsink and/or fan as well as reapply thermal paste.

Yes, here we get everything later and with a rather large markup.... For example the Lenovo Y series isn't available here yet... As well as this there is markups of up to $700.

Unless I find a ridiculously good special I think I'm not going to be able to get what I'm after. Will that laptops with the 800m series of GPUs go down in price when the 900m series comes out? If so it might be worth waiting?

Can you link me to the Lenovo? I'd say it means windows since dos is 14 years old... Also with these laptops you won't be able to play games with very high graphics settings since they are fairly low end. I'm not sure exactly but you might even have trouble running those games at all and if you...
