What do you mean swap the hard drive as I had to replace the disk drive a month ago because that stopped working and is there no other way of setting it back to factory settings?

I've used that link and the problem is I can't even access my laptop troubleshoot because it's stuck on the recovery screen an won't let me go any further. It says my PC needs to be repaired and comes up with an error code!

I want to restore my toshiba laptop back to factory settings but it's still in recovery mode. I've tried pressing 0 and turning it on but it doesn't beep as everyone says it should. Any help would be appreciated as I need it for university very quickly!
