Go to Asus website and download the chipset drivers and any pci drivers. I have a feeling that they got screwed up somewhere the chipset drivers can throw off a lot of different things on a laptop.

Have you tried going to device manager and choose show hidden devices?

I would try reinstalling the OS using the recovery partition and give it a try. I had to do that to a friends desktop that wasn't recognizing the driver a few weeks ago.

try getting the driver from NVIDIA instead of using device manager.

Take the laptop apart and replace the charging port its pretty simple and you can probably find a port on ebay for under 10 dollars most asus laptops have a port plugged into the motherboard and don't require soldering

Try that and make sure your laptop doesn't have a fn lock that can do it too

If you take it apart and remove the motherboard try using rubbing alchohol the highest percentage you can find and cue tips and dab it around all the connections and transistors that usually dries up all the water. I have done this countless times and 9 out of 10 times it does the trick.

Take the back cover off and see if you can pull the cmos battery. That should clear it most likely its under the back cover.

Is integrated or dedicated graphics could be the solder starting to go on the chip.

Most likely a bad ram stick, do you have more than one in it. I know the elitebook has one under the cover in the back and the other is under the keyboard.

Ive tried that also, The weird thing is I can hit the f10 key and it takes the command but locks up when it says entering BIos. I'm thinking I need a new motherboard also I'll try the external keyboard first though.
