Well this player has now been released and there is a multiregion version, i rushed and bought the normal version which wasnt multiregion but then 1 day later a multiregion version turned up on the site so had it delivered. so now I have my 4K multiregion/Zone oppo and its an excellent machine...

When I say region free I mean Zone Free as in A-B-C to play all blurays from all zones including USA/Asia and Europe and Australasia, not dvd region free.
