    Experiencing issues with earphone jack.

    My laptop is running windows 10. The speakers play sound even when earphones are plugged in. The earphones play no sound but the staticbsound can be heard. If i open "Sound" in control panel, no device is detected. How can I repair this?

    In my experiences, I've had a lot of bad experiences with HP. Lenovo, IMO are very reliable and quality.

    I agree with legobye. Although on the edge of your budget, you can't go wrong MSI. If not, rather take the Toshiba. the lack of dedicated graphics in the ASUS could prove problematic.
