    Why do 6 channel files do not sound that clear on TV stereo speakers?

    Seems to me that if you play a file with 2 channel audio it sounds clear. With 6 channels, you sometimes cannot understand what the character is speaking. Or maybe is just my imagination.

    Which is a good pair of stereo speakers for my office?

    I only use the speakers of my old laptop. I can barely hear them. I only need a descent pair of stereo speakers that won't break after a month. Preferably $100 or less.
