The laptop is an Asus f550ze-xx072t ,when I boot from a dvd containing any windows it hangs on Expanding Windows Files at 0% , and all the ports are busted, however if I plug a mouse , it works...unless I turn on the mouse's lights then it disconnects.

I have a 5 months old Asus laptop but lately the usb ports got shot and they are not working anymore. The laptop does not have an OS anymore, and Ive tried countless dvd with windows. How could I get it back working with an OS on? I dont really want to go to a service.....and the warranty does...

I plugged in a new external hdd to my laptop to transfer some of my stuff on it like i usually do , but this time after i moved the files, i plugged it out and back in to check some other things, but when I plugged it in , the laptop shut down like a short circuit happened. Now no usb ports...
