i have a toshiba laptop about 1 month old and sometimes when i shut it down there is an application that stops it form shut down so when i cancel the shut down and shut it down again it is now shuted down...how can i find this application because it has no title and picture on it, is this a virus?

does a heat sink fan turns right away when turning the laptop on? my heat sink fan only turns when i use my laptop long and playing games.. is this normal?
