Figures it out I have the wrong CPU for my chipset, new problem I don't know my chipset. The crashing quickly stopped.

[Update] put old CPU it's still crashing, now I'm lost.

[Update] The i5-2450 is PPGA988 and the old Celeron b830 is FCPGA988, I was told this was not a problem as they are both G2 Sockets and as long as it fits it'd be fine, could this be the culprit I don't want to start removing and sending parts back if it can be helped.

Yes they have the same socket but will it actually run, the ebay page also said something about updating the bios :-? I know what the bios is and how to access it, but update? Now you've lost me.
