some people say it does charge (on dell's forums) after updating bios. I'm really afraid of updating BIOS, can't risk bricking my system, BIOS version is the 1st version on it and dell's website says it's critical to update

I didn’t try it to be honest, stock charger is like these beefy ones. It does fine with it, but im seeking more convenience with the usb c.

The port works and it detects something in, but doesn't charge through it, it's a fairly old laptop (dell precision 5510) don't know if it's a driver issue or not? What could be wrong?

The battery is somewhat weak tbh (used laptop), needs to be changed. SSD is empty, and I'll do the dell system/hardware test with the malware scan, although I think it does not have any.

Doesn’t get over 40 at maximum. Turned off intel speed step in BIOS and it seems to be solved, but I think at a cost of higher temp (didn’t check it after turning off speed step) but it seemed to heat a little bit

I have a Dell Precision 5510 workstation (i7-6820HQ, 32GB RAM) and can't even open a pdf or multiple chrome tablets without some jitter or lag, I looked up task manager on what might be causing this and it turns out to be the CPU which randomly goes lower than 1GHz, tweaked the "power options"...
