So about a year ago, I got myself a Lenovo G565 (I know, spectacular stuff) because I couldn't afford anything more. But, from the moment I bought it till now my graphics card was failing and I didn't open it up till today. Basically, red lines across the display, white stripes (see picture 1)...

I am thinking of buying a new HD for it, but first I need to check 2 things. 1. Is it possible to fix this? 2. If not, if the laptop supports a SSD, maybe I should consider getting that over a normal HD?

OK, I found something that really confused me. When using the laptop as usual I remembered that I can look at the CPU usage on the laptop. So I tested it a bit, with running Windows Explorer, trying to open big files and I even downloaded Chrome again to test it. The CPU usage was always below...

I currently have a HP Compaq 8510w. It's a pretty old laptop, but it has really good specs for it's age. But, for some reason (probably because it's just getting older) it's reeeally slow. Like opening "My Computer" on it makes it lag for about half a minute, and it opens just about 2 minutes...

Thanks for the advice! But I'm sure that it will not sound wierd, as the chair is stereo and the rear speakers on it are basically where the rear speakers would be.
