Using PC as a hotspot or network link

Sorry no offense intended. The thing is though if you know how to do that then you should also know how routing works. The data doesn't rest on the routing device so there is no risk as long as the device doing the routing has a proper firewall and anti-virus. Still I think a $50 router would...

How do I fix Nokia Play 360 speakers?

With the plastic housing busted as bad as it is the speaker will have no way of vibrating properly to produce sound. The speaker would have to be replaced with a spare if you really wanted to fix it but I doubt you'll be able to find one.

razer blade 14 vs asus rog zephyrus 1070

I went down this same path and have bought several Sager/Clevo gaming laptops from xoticpc.com but always found the same issues with them all. 1. Weight: A heavy laptop is a laptop you won't want to use that often. At first you might but eventually the chore of lugging that thing around and...

Rip DVDs and blu-rays to PC for personal watching on media center

This is a grey area. Title 17 of the United States Code says that it is illegal to reproduce a copyrighted work. If a DVD comes with a box or has a label on it indicating a copyright, then it is technically illegal to make any copies of it for any reason. So if you live in the US then I don't...

Plex on Roku Premiere + codec errors

What are you using for the Plex server? Sounds like the server isn't transcoding the content. Plex is designed to play any content on any device by transcoding the content to a type that the client can play.

    Constant hissing and buzzing

Looks like thats your only port. No way to ground it that I know of since it has to do with the built in audio components not having a good ground to the motherboard. Higher quality motherboards tend not to have this problem. A good work around I came up with when dealing with budget oriented...

    Constant hissing and buzzing

Sounds to me that the audio port isn't grounded properly so you are picking up interference from other components in the computer. Unless there is another 3.5mm port on the computer then you are pretty much stuck with the hissing unless you can find another interface.

Connecting soundbar to TV but TV has no RCA ports

If you can find such a cable give it a shot but since RCA connections are analog and HDMI is digital, more than likely you will need an active adapter. Can't recommend any though since I haven't seen an RCA output device since my childhood days.

    Is LastPass safe?

It is as safe as your Master Password. Since you only use one password to log in to LastPass it better be complex, lengthy, and unique to just your lastpass account. There is no point to worry about security if you're just going to use the same password in multiple places. For example I keep my...

Can I make a wired media player "wireless" if I use a usb modem stick?

No way that I know of without introducing a crazy amount of audio lag and expensive adapters into the mix. It would be cheaper to just get a pair of bluetooth headphones if your TV supports bluetooth.

    Viruses from hardline connection

I'm sure someone can give you a more eloquent answer and perhaps salvage your situation but in cases like these where the Anti-Virus is picking up nothing I like to recommend just doing a fresh install of Windows. It has probably been a while since you have reinstalled so it might be a nice time...

    2.1 Receiver or Alternative recommendations

Here you go Mr. Cheapskate: (Edited) Nevermind the one I linked doesn't have HDMI. Hard to stay under $100 with HDMI input

do you think a way to digitally record quality voice will become more economical than all microphones in cost vs quality?

If anyone here had an answer to your question they should keep quiet and sell the idea first because right now a good recording environment is the industry standard to filter out unwanted noise.
