Hi. Well, this resoliution means that this laptop has 1366 pixels in line * 768 pixels. One pixel can show only one dot, not two. So it can't go above this resoliution in most situations.

For recording, reading 1080p videos you will be totally fine with this hdd. Mine 1TB barracuda 7200 RPM 64mb cache has no problems at all when loading, recording, watching videos.
