Thanks for responding. The TV is Sony KDL-46EX600 (Model #) Dish Network receiver is R191119280 (Model #) The Sound system is aDAV-HDX265 I have the tv set to automatically turn on the sound system speakers when it starts up. They are both Bravia capable.

I am a complete dummy when it comes to this. I have the sat reciever connected to tv with hdmi cable The sound system is also connected to tv with hdmi,. Do I connect the sound system to the sat receiver also? Thanks for the help

No, its just got the plugs for the colored ones. Which I suspect makes that HTIB a one component unit only right? Just connect to TV and the sat dish receiver?

Thank you for responding. My HTIB only has 1 HDMI out. The TV has 4 HDMI in. None of these say ARC

I appreciate your help but I have no idea what you just said. What is HTiB? All I know is the home theater and the sat box are connect ted to TV with HDMI. The bluray player has HDMI cable and the wires with the 3 colored plugs..red, yellow and white. The blue ray is not connected to anything...

I had no idea those things existed. However how does that make my bluray player sounds come through my home theater and not my TV speakers?

It won't play movies but it will play audio CDs. When trying to watch a movie it reads then stops and doesn't play, it will say no disc
