    Media Player Classic isn't working?

Thanks, I'll try em both out, VLC seems a bit more appealing as an all in one solution, will update when I get to it

    Media Player Classic isn't working?

So about a week ago, Media Player Classic worked like a charm (have that K-lite codec pack and stuff but that's not what the problem is) recently, it hasn't been working, when I try to open up a video file or even just open up the MPC interface itself nothing happens, tried running in...

need help which laptop best for gaming and future proof

between those 2 laptops, the 8850M is a bit faster than the GT 650M, it has a faster memory type but is clocked slower, but it still wins out by just a little bit, especially if both are similarly clocked. In the samsung though you get a much stronger CPU.

memory bandwidth in the 8850M is much better, which is needed when you're running games that will transfer huge amounts of information through your graphics chip.

if you want to play those games then the 8850 is your best bet, most of the newer games nowadays are more graphics intensive than CPU intensive. a strong processor like an i7 4700mq is nice but a GT740m will not run these games very well, if at all

need help which laptop best for gaming and future proof

Are there any free PC benchmarks?

you can also try Final Fantasy 14's benchmark lol, not really a stress test of any kind, it just scores your entire PC's ability to run the game

Looking for a decent gaming laptop that cost 800$ or less

the games don't seem very demanding to me, the question, then, is how much quality are you expecting out of it? Do you want to play your games maxed out at 1080p? Or are you fine with lower settings/resolutions? Also how big do you want your screen?
