These really shouldn’t be used regardless unless you really need some niche legacy software and never connect them to the internet. They won’t run W11 and aren’t secure. I don’t think they’d run W10 well considering they’re vista era machines. At this point you’re better off recycling them

Can you go to settings and just increase text size/icons in accessibility? You don’t want to go backwards, apps eventually drop support

You can just get an XPS from dell and spec it out however you’d like for that budget

The issue is the chip it’s a 8th gen U series intel chip back when they were stuck on 14nm+++++++. The chip is just slow

Why do you need 64GB of RAM? You’re just using it for light work so 16GB would be enough, 32 at a push.

Depends on your budget, garmin make a few good ones

Wouldn’t really say you have to move to the entire ecosystem, a Mac can be used on its own as a very capable machine. They’re just a very good laptop that does what 95% of people want to do for the price. Especially now they’ve dropped the price back to 999 and bumped the RAM.
