Wouldn’t really say you have to move to the entire ecosystem, a Mac can be used on its own as a very capable machine. They’re just a very good laptop that does what 95% of people want to do for the price. Especially now they’ve dropped the price back to 999 and bumped the RAM.

MacBook Air. Might want to upgrade storage, might not but it should come under 1000. If you can wangle the back to school education deal you get free AirPods and 100 off.

Look at the graphs and see which you prefer. Would also like to say mic quality isn’t great for either because Bluetooth so maybe it might be worth getting separate wired headphones and an inline or separate mic. Would also pick beats over JBL any day.

They meant it qualifies to not work. You need to get a new laptop at this point. Any investment into it now is just a waste of money.

The issue is W10 is now EOL and will not be getting any updates from October, that includes security updates, patches and fixes. Therefore it isn’t advisable to use it.

It’s going to be old considering they stopped making laptops 5 years ago and stopped making consumer models nearly 10 years ago. It won’t get W11 so will be EOL late this year

You’d have to look at the sound profile of both and see which you like best which is the best for you from an audio perspective. For passive isolation you just need a good seal from the bud and it will block a surprising amount of noise, it just doesn’t do that well blocking out low frequency...

“Good for budget” doesn’t mean good. Im guessing they do alright at low frequencies, drop off around the vocal frequencies and then pick up again at higher frequencies where the seal does the heavy lifting. EDIT: Checked and I was bang on.

Tbh I wouldn’t really trust anything it tells you outside of the time. Most of them either have fake heart rate sensors or ones so poor they’re not worth paying attention to.

Generally budget ANC isn’t really worth having and you’re just degrading the quality of the earphones themselves in terms of sound quality, battery and the overall functionality
