We've all been there, those headaches from looking up laptops and comparing specs.. I've finally been able to make a short list of a couple of laptops.
I only just returned a laptop I bought so I'm hoping this one is for good!
It'll be used as a general laptop, Internet, TV shows, casual gaming...

£70 more for 1080p. I Can afford it, it's just whether I'd want to go £50 over budget.
I just got a sony Vaio E-series which is 1080p and was a decent price, £240 with Radeon 5650M graphics card. Although I don't actually like 1080p on a laptop, the mouse pad is frustrating.
But I was thinking of returning that and maybe getting something a little more expensive such as...

My previous laptop had a dedicated gpu as well as an intergrated which was pretty decent. The CPU was an A8 Amd.
I'm wanting an Intel Cpu this time but I can only seem to find ones with the standard Intel HD Graphics. I'm not looking to play games on this...

I'm completely bewildered by the tablet market, I got the first Ipad and as far as I was concerned, that was the only tablet. It was only a few weeks ago I realized how big the market was!
