So I got the laptop and I must say that I'm very satisfied with it. The TN panel is fine, it suffices my needs, as well as the hardware. Thanks for the advices, maybe sometime in the future I will get my hands on an IPS panel and replace it. Cheers.

Thanks for your response. It's a 1080p TN panel unfortunately, but it doesn't bother me that much. I have a 6 year old samsung LCD monitor on my desktop rig, which imho still looks great, even though it's a TN one.

When you said, that u tested it with no graphics card, did you plug the hdmi/dvi/vga cable in to the motherboard(running of integrated graphics). But it's probably the mobo's fault. Do you get any beep codes on startup?

Hmm.... It's probably the motherboard, but I'm not sure. Have you tried clearing CMOS?

Are your keyboard and mouse getting power. Sounds like a faulty PSU or motherboard. (Recently had a similar problem. Turned out to be the motherboard. ) Do you, by any chance, have a spare PSU to see if it's the mobo's fault or PSU fault?
