Make shure none of the cables are usb plugs are damaged I know I pushed my chair over my cord and broke it.....

That sounds like something is not plugged in properly try unplugging everything and making shure there is nothing in them then plug it all back in.

Go with the ASUS it has a better gpu and a larger ssd. It also has better warranty and covers more.

That screen is also full HD(1920x1080p) If you really want to get into gaming buy a nice gaming desktop a desktop would blow away and laptop.

When was the last time you sucsesfully used the laptop, because if it sits for that long it can rune some of the components inside and you might just need to take it to your local computer store they will figure it our for you.

This has happened also to my toshiba laptop when I installed the new update a couple of days ago. Try holding down the power button until it shuts down all the way then push it one more time to turn it back on.
