this is helpful information and i will keep this in mind. however, i did have a data retrieval service look at it and said they found nothing. i sent the card to Lexar so perhaps they'll do better. i will check my folder settings on the camera. thanks again!

thanks for your help. i looked for another folder, but since the card had relatively few photos there wasn't one. i'm keeping my fingers crossed that lexar solves the problem.

thanks for your help, but the card was checked at a data retrieval service and they said it was fine. i never delete and always format. i sent it to lexar for review, but it will take 5 weeks. i also had the camera checked and it's fine also. a real mystery!

check to see if your camera and sd card are compatible. the same thing happened to me with my nikon.

i used my nikon d5100 for 4 days on a trip with the same memory card. i looked at the lcd screen and all seemed fine at the time. when i returned home the last day's didn't download to my computer. the previous days did. i put the card back into my camera and the last day's photos were gone from...
