    Toshiba laptop won't boot and can't recover black screen

    I've been working on this problem for about 3 days now and now i fixed it. I connected the laptop HDD to my own laptop and i repaired the HDD with that windows HDD repair tool. When i put the HDD back into the (broken) laptop it also started repairing. And guess what. The Laptop boots again...

    Tried another HDD in the laptop with windows 10 installed and it boots and works perfectly! Ran chkdsk on the other HDD and nothing found. so the problem must be with the HDD.... but what could it be

    I don't completely understand you. You replaced the hard drive and the motherboard?

    My laptop updated it self and now my cursor sits at the middle of the start screen and I can't move it or use the keyboard. I

    could be 2 things *your keyboard and mouse cables got unhooked (very unlikely) *the update destroyed the drivers for your keyboard and mouse input device Can you connect an external mouse and keyboard and tell us if they work?

    I am trying to repair a laptop for a friend, When i power on the laptop the Toshiba logo shows for about 10 seconds then the screen goes black. When i try to enter recovery (keep 0 pressed while startup) it does the same. So i thought i was the HDD but when i connect the HDD to my own laptop...
