    My laptop screen is cracked and I cant connect to another monitor via a vga cable.

    Its a Compaq Presario CQ57 laptop. I really need this thing working. Does anybody know how I can get it to work on an external monitor without buying a new screen? OR a cheaper alternative to a new screen. My settings prevent the use of another monitor.
