I am usin it with the external only i do not use them at the same time, i tried reinstalling drivers for hdmi on my laptop and it still doesnt work properly.

I have a hp pavillion 14-ab166us core i3 5020u and intel hd5500 model, When i use the internal display (1366x768) i get well over 120fps in minecraft, but when i use my external monitor running at 1366x768 i get only 40 fps? what causes this, is it my laptop isnt strong enough to output hdmi and...
