Solved! Losing preformance on external display.

I have a hp pavillion 14-ab166us core i3 5020u and intel hd5500 model, When i use the internal display (1366x768) i get well over 120fps in minecraft, but when i use my external monitor running at 1366x768 i get only 40 fps? what causes this, is it my laptop isnt strong enough to output hdmi and play minecraft? and what can i do to fix this.

I am usin it with the external only i do not use them at the same time, i tried reinstalling drivers for hdmi on my laptop and it still doesnt work properly.

try cloning the display

could be that the external monitor needs extra GPU power and therefore doesn´t get equal fps on it.

update the BIOS of your laptop
update all drivers from the HP support homepage:
