So this cable is only hdmi to vga, and not vga to hdmi? Unfortunately, i don't think my tv has ARC. Can't find anything in the description, and on the tv menu there is no mention of ARC. I have this one: http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-24LH4530-P-led-tv. So without ARC there is no chance to connect...

So finally i received the connector yesterday, and indeed, no sound coming from it. Is it correct that a hdmi-vga connector is different from a vga-hdmi connector? Because when i connect my computer to it, there is also no signal coming through at the tv. I thought the connector would work 2 ways?

Thanks! So we have to wait and see if the hdmi is bi-directional, and if the converter has the same option. I have ordered it (i need it anyway to connect my computer), and will you know how it worked out.
