no my wifi is on and now im realizing no programs connect to the internet, thought it was just browsers cause i had a program open

it just says new tab when i try and go to a website and the thing at the top left spins slowly and the screen stays on whatever it;s on

The IP release flush DNS renewe did not work, I have an HP 2000 Windows 8.1, sorry thought I had Windows 8 still, 4 GB of RAM, don't know about my screen res or GPU but I'm sure I could get it

My Internet is fine, I can connect to websites via other devices but one laptop will not load web pages no matter what browser I tried to use. If I search for something in the taskbar it says about blank and doesn't load anything and gives me a white screen though it is connected to the network...
