If it is under warranty always give it back to the manufacturer, that way if anything is screwed up you not out a laptop.

at $500-$600 you have more than enough to get a nice hi-fi audio head set, at that price point there is no point getting a gaming headset. if you don't mind a wait if can find a very nice set but shipping takes like a month good bass...

if your getting the speed you need to its not the router/modem its something with your wireless card try opening cmd and ping 8.8.8.8 and run ipconfig in cmd then post results it may be a dying wireless card or just a glitch in the system
