the adapter 100% works I know for sure. I tried it without the battery. It is not an adapter problem....and I am 99% sure it is not a jack problem. I can easily pull the hard drive but I don't know how to hook it to another computer to access the files.

I intalled a new jack that I know works and still no power with an adapter that I know works. What now? I dont care about the laptop I just want my files. Any other way to get power to the computer? Any way to charge the battery without the laptop? Any way to hook up the hard drive to another...
