Yeah..if it's soldered then that is a problem...I just got a mail saying that the config for the MSI GT70 is 8+4 = 12 GB RAM. The size is enough for gaming use but what I am worried about is the layout because it's 2 different RAM sizes, I fear it will not be stable or perform as well as normal...
