Thanks, I have looked at revising boot disk location etc but nothing complicated in there so will look further. Power options in Windows all look fine.

Hi, Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately did not work. It didn't try to start with nothing connected, started with just power & no battery but still not starting from battery.

Recently my laptop will not boot unless plugged in, the battery is fine otherwise, shows full charge, runs for a long time on battery. it will wake up from sleep or hibernate but if it was fully shut down I have to plug in when I hit the power button. I can unplug straight away after hitting...
