Yes the cable is fine and there is only one ethernet port.

Hi there! I have an Inspiron 570 running Windows 7 and I am having problems getting the on board lan to work. It appears to be enabled in the BIOS but there is no device for it under Device Manager. When I plug an ethernet cable in the Ethernet LED wont come on either. Please help.
