Inspiron 570 Ethernet problem

Hi there!

I have an Inspiron 570 running Windows 7 and I am having problems getting the on board lan to work.

It appears to be enabled in the BIOS but there is no device for it under Device Manager.

When I plug an ethernet cable in the Ethernet LED wont come on either.

Please help.

Go to Dell's website, entire the service code (should be on the underside of the laptop), and download the LAN drivers. That should fix it.

Have you tried a different ethernet cable and different port at the other end?

Yes the cable is fine and there is only one ethernet port.
