I have read another post about an acer aspire slot and it looks sort of similar. And according to that post it could be a M.sata connection. I am wondering if that is the same for this laptop or if it is something else. I just noticed it when I was installing a new CPU and RAM into the board...

Alright, I hope one day laptops can be just as upgradable as a desktop. I expect at that point the laptop business will boom like crazy.

I spend a lot of time asking questions and doing research before going out to spend money, and TV's are a big expense now.

Yeah, they use a cable card for activation. Found out that you need the card from them, so it turns out to be $8.50 per month to rent the entire box itself, or I can go buy a box with a card slot and rent the card for $2 a month. The choice is obvious now.

Alright, I didn't know. I was about to order a cable box for my room and just buy it for the channels, but if cox is going to activate it they are going to charge for that and they will probably also charge for me to have it my room as well as out in the living room, unless the activation fee...

There is always the PS3, there is always someone trying to sell one so they can get money for the PS4. So they can play everything you want and you can have the benefit of playing PS3 games if you choose. And there is remotes you can get, even though the controllers are easy to use as well...

If the device that is recording the ps3 is being attached to the TV, then you would need the PS3 connected to the recording device. In this case you need to connect the PS3 to the PVR and the PVR will record the PS3 gameplay and send the video to the TV through its HDMI port.

My family already has extended cable down the hall in the living room, and every other room in the house has cable because they don't have cable boxes. Will buying an actual cable box (outside the cable company), have to be activated before use or just not work?
