It may depend on where on earth you are. A few years back I had my hair cut in another country, at a price that was 25% of what I usually pay in my home country. 10% of what I have paid at most. I guess this applies to TV techs also. Nigel

It could be that the person at the other end of the line never hung up, very long ago. Or it could be a phone that cannot be updated to work in a "modern" network, like not having a dial so you have to tell the operator whom you want to be connected to.
