Just to save time but when I turn on the laptop the screen have a white light on it and theres this one day that I reduce the brightness of the screen pressing the fn+f?, so i dont think the gpu is broken?

No luck tried it after the windows start sound and after turning on the machine :(

Both didnt work i dont think that the laptop is broken cuz the windows starting sound still comes....

Howdy, I got this Sony Vaio PCG-7144m with the screen broken. I tried to use it using an external VGA monitor. I use the Fn + F7 (key with lcd icon on it) holding it for like 5 min since the start but did not work. The owner also told me that hes unsure if the laptop has windows password on it...
