Sounds like fun. You theoretically should be able to find it from Toshiba's support site. Usually business class machines from Dell for example are pretty good about those things. I can't say I'm as familiar with Toshiba though.

Is there a specific reason you are flashing the bios? If there isn't a specific issue with your machine, don't update the bios. Flashing the bios can potentially mess things up.

I don't. As far as paid antivirus, I've personally worked on systems with paid antivirus that had THOUSANDS of infections before.

Agree with the last statement. I will say that I've started using the free Windows defender that comes built into windows 10. Used to really like Avast. So far it does well though.

I have seen Norton broken one too many times to recommend. Just my opinion.

I've used avast on my home system for probably the last 5 years. I think I've had one infection in that time. I got a backdoor rootkit or something on it somehow because I try to watch what I'm doing. Pretty easy to remove and no issues since.

Agreed. My personal opinion is for home use, why pay for av when the free ones are about as good as long as you use common sense.

You are joking right? Excuse me while i go laugh. I'd run almost any free antivirus before I'd trust my computer to McAfee. I've seen so many machines with mcafee that were messed up or infected. Just my personal opinion.
