wow all these veterans and i had to figure it out myself so if anybody runs into a similar problem it is the LCD inverter which i found on ebay for 24$ and to think i almost threw it away

i forgot to add i try reinstalling windows 7

Its a satellite M115, running w7, i replaced the screen already because screen was flickering and it still flickered after changing screen but now there are just colorful lines, i tried swamping out the ram and hard drive so i know screen, ram and hard drive are good

no the system was off be my son turned it on in mourning and then realized what had happened from the smell and then turn it off then it sat for couple months and i just replaced the keyboard it was up and running fine for a couple of hours then it started lagging and then no screen but can see...

this is a satellite c650 laptop running windows 7 with 4gb ram, and a dog climbed on couch and peed on the keyboard 2 months ago so yesterday i ripped the system aparted and really cleaned it up and replaced the keyboard .it was running then it started lagging and now it wont turn on.

i contacted the place where i bought it and they give me the number for a sony place and they want 100 so i have to wait till tax time and kids dont remember any password

what does the EEPROM chip look like and where is it on motherboard and if i short it out what will happen

i can post serial number to help prove its not stolen

im not that kind of guy i don't buy or own stolen stuff including software so fyi not stolen i just don't have enough money right now to take it to a Sony dealer so it sounds like my kids where playing around with it and some how got into the bios and put a password in hmmm can someone help me...
