Lenova think pad laptop - got cut off in the middle of updating the system

Updating what drive And forgive me for saying this, but isn't the IT supposed to push updates to your computer instead of updating yourself?

Solved! Spilled tea but did not shut it down and removed battery

It's probable you got one drop into the cooling system which means the copper heatsink is wet. Hopefully no harm is done to the computer. Best if you disassembled the laptop and leave it in a hot and dry location for 24 hours.

    Laptop decision for the price

I would recommend used parts instead of new parts or laptop. Right now, for the price of a new 1050 Ti, GTX 970 and RX 470 approaches (<$200). Try the hardwareswap subreddit.

I run PUBG on a Quadro K620 (GTX 745) and I get 30 FPS at all low settings on 1600x900. That's with ample airflow. Imagine a...

Solved! Looking for a Laptop with good construction (no hinge issues), audio, and portability, form filled out

Quantity doesn't matter, it's quality. 6 speaker is meaningless if it's oriented incorrectly or if it's poor sounding. As I said, if you want good sound, just use a headphone or get a proper set of speakers along with a light DAC. The most intense of your work is AutoCAD. A scratch-and-dent or...

Solved! Looking for a Laptop with good construction (no hinge issues), audio, and portability, form filled out

Why not just go entirely audiophile? If you need strong construction, go for ThinkPads. Scratched for $500 a pop.
