okay the 3 channels are still not working through the dvd player with HD service not available as the error msg on the screen however there is reception coming through as the audio from the channels is cutting in and out sounding broken but no picture ??

i did just tune the tv but turned the dvd player off. did u mean i should tune fom tv directly to wall socket from with no plug in dvd??

no it didn't work. its still coming up on the screen "hd service is not available" for these 3 channels

already tried that, thanks. and in any case its only 3 channels not coming over to dvd, the rest are all working.. if it was the antenna not pushed in then all channel would be an issue i would imagine
