The laptop is almost certainly repairable, the only unknown is how much the repair is going to cost (what's broken, what needs repairing, and labour charges involved). Myself I would take it to a repair shop and ask them for an estimate before going any further.

Try with all external devices disconnected from it (except the power adapter of course). So just like booting up a new laptop out of the box.
