Wat if i change the hard disk drive .. ??

I dnt hv a recovery disk :p

Now my laptop is not even starting .. on startup after booting again n again using F2 n nw its hanging on the startup .. Thn taking me to startup repair after taking around 10 min.. At tht point its showing the blue windows screen with the mouse cursor rotating .. After 1 hr its shutting down...

I performed the dskchk n virus scan as u advised bt the performance is still same n windows startup is still giving me prbms.. Shud i go fr a new hard disc drive

for the past few months my laptop sceen was shoing " operating system not found" on startup.. i performed a clean install of windows 7 aroind 3 days ago.. bt still the problem persists and in addn now the laptop has become extremely slow.. what should i do now ??
