I returned the headphones and kept my portas

Hi all I recently bought a replacement for my old Koss Porta Pro the sony v55 and I thought that the v55 will have a lot stronger bass because even the apple earpods destroyed the Portas in bass. But unfortunately even the v55 have weak bass and I would like to ask if that is normal.
