Macbook Pro or Windows 8 laptop

As i said before, an optical drive is a must for me, so that wouldnt really be one i would pick, a possibility though. Are the cyberpower fangbook's any good? The cheaper evo ones? What about the digital storm javalin? Are they good?

    Which one is better

I have an hp dv6, and i do like it. It does get VERY hot though. The dv6 your looking at is a different one than i have. The asus would last longer. What games do you plan to play? Some games are cpu intensive and some are gpu intensive.

amd vs nividia which should I buy for new laptop

In terms of what your asking, go with the hp over the dell if you dont want to chose anything but hp and dell. Im not saying nvidia is superior to amd. Just in this scenario the nvivia is better.

    Looking for a powerful laptop

The asus n56jn could be pretty good. Its within your budget and could handle pretty much anything you throw at it. Im not sure if it has enough storage, but you could also get a usb 3 hard drive dock and a large hard drive for mass storage. That all would still be in your budget. You could get a...

Looking for a good budget laptop

I would go for the asus X550LB-DS71. It looks like it has everything you need. 2gb graphics and an i7. I know its a bit out of budget, but you get what you pay for. It should handle everything you want to do on it.

which laptop should I buy hp or dell?

LookItsRain, When I read his post i answered the question, hp or dell. I would too recommend asus, I haven't personally had one myself but they have great build quality and specs for their price.

Macbook Pro or Windows 8 laptop

I will be doing some gaming, such as minecraft and possibly more intensive games. I think the macbook pro can handle it but im not sure about everything else. I will also need to be able to do photoshop and video editing. My budget is around 1k. It needs to have decent portability and a decent...

    Deciding gaming laptop brands

Whatever you do, don't get alienware. Yes, the lights are pretty, but the specs are low for the price. My $600 hp dv6 has simmilar specs to a $1100 alienware. Also try asus, they have some good gaming laptops.

Looking for a good portable college laptop with touchscreen and non-intel graphics

Possibly the asus q550lf. Should handle the sims fine and any program you might need to use. i7, 8gb ram, 1tb hard drive, nvidia 745 graphics. The cpu might be a little too slow, but it should handle it on turbo fine. I know its over your budget and is a best buy exclusive, you might be able to...

Macbook Pro or Windows 8 laptop

So my hp dv6 is nearing the end of its life time, and its almost time to get a new laptop. Right now im trying to decide on what to get. Ive considered the 2012 macbook pro 2.3 i7. Some others ive looked at include the asus n56jn, which is pretty powerful, but has windows 8. Ive also looked at...

Gaming laptop on a budget! (=

I don't know if they are very reliable, or have any problems, but you might check out the cyberpower pc fangbooks. They have backlit keys and very impressive specs, and they are fully customizable. Not sure though.

    Laptop very hot

I have an hp dv6 as well. I believe mine is the 2010 version, but im not sure. from my experience, cooling pads don't help much, but it dos help some. Maybe clean out the vents with compressed air. if you dont want to do it yourself, you can probabally take it to places like staples or bestbuy...

which laptop should I buy hp or dell?

Personally, I would go with hp. I supposed i m a bit bias as my dad works for hp. I have had a GREAT experience with hp. My hp dv6 has served me well for 4 years now from lots of abuse. I got it when i was 10, so it wasn't exactly the cleanest. My 70 pound border collie even stepped on it and...
