In regards to swapping motherboards that will probably work if its of the same laptop model. I don't know about the external GPU though, you wouldnt be running 16x speeds, and i imagine you may run into other issues as that is not a very common setup. Money would be better spend a newer laptop.

have you reinstalled graphics drivers? and are you sure that its actually using the 1050 not integrated graphics?

look in your computers audio settings, you should be able to select your TV as a speaker/audio output.

Not sure if Element TV's have a web browser, from what I can tell you may be limited to Roku/Amazon apps. Although looking in your manual or calling Element customer support might be a good idea.

I would keep in mind weight and size when looking at other suggested laptops, heavy laptops be heavy.

Have you read the manual? should have a description of what all beeps mean. Could also be a sign of a faulty part, so if the manual doesn't explain what the beep means you should look into a warranty claim

Yeah that does seem like a dead GPU, not a whole lot you can do unfortunately. That being said the ram, and HDD still could have value in another PC so don't just throw the whole thing away
