1. Go to Google
2. Search for anything like "lol" for example
3. Below the search bar there should be something called a "Search Tool"
4. Click on it and it will give you searching options which you can alter.
If you were playing something and your CPU overheated I'm quite sure your fans would go to max RPM after the CPU gets too hot and that's when you know Silent Mode won't cut it.
On some MoBos Silent Mode turns off the fans completely and on others it lowers the fan RPMs until the CPU gets really hot and then tries to stabilize the temperature by increasing the fan RPMs significantly.
If you run a demanding game on high, ultra or whatever it might be settings with your fans running on lower RPM (less airflow, more hot air in the case, more of a chance to get F'd.) I'd say it highly depends on the game.
