    AFAIK Intel Optane is a tech that speed-up HDDs so that it match SSDs. So in term of speed, I believe SSDs is more reliable. EDIT: many review said that Optane is faster than SSD, so read speed is faster while write speed is about the same(?).

    if you're not sure what caused it, then you should use BlueScreenView from NirSoft, next time you experienced BSoD again, just open that app and look what's red beside ntoskrnl (should be at the top) then after that, it's just googling again and should be easier

    shouldn't you able to to that in the BIOS? just move your third HDD to the top of the list Enter BIOS by pressing F2 or DEL then go to Boot option then arrange your preferred boot priority
