Hmm after reinstalling the windows get windows update on.That will automatically update all possible drivers ,after that go for the graphics card drivers .I think that should solve it.

It is possible to upgrade your cpu but i would advise against it .Laptop repair shops might not have the expertise and your choice of cpu moreover you won't get any support from gigabyte. Moreover you should be good with your current processor unless and until you are into hardcore video editing...

Feature wise the edifier 1380 seems good to me .My only point of contention is that edifier as a brand is not nearly as popular as logitech or creative .So is edifier a reliable brand??
